About Miri Piri Academy
Miri Piri Academy was founded to serve future generations with the example and the teachings of the Siri Singh Sahib. The Siri Singh Sahib died on October 6th, 2004, but his mission and his teachings continue to guide each generation of students who come to study at Miri Piri Academy.Miri Piri Academy is committed to creating an environment for students and staff that fosters mastery of the mind and elevation of the spirit, which allows the student to experience the depth and power of their being. Through the practice of a Dharmic lifestyle, the technology of Kundalini Yoga, and our academic program, we nurture a love for learning and provide our students the foundation of self-confidence and skills to face any challenge life presents to them. Miri Piri Academy inspires generations to live as courageous, kind and conscious human beings who, through their service, help create strong international communities and elevate the spirit of all.Miri Piri Academy offers a curriculum and testing program that meets the highest academic standards for high school programs worldwide. Teaching at Miri Piri Academy is student-centered, project-based, and incorporates the multiple intelligences concept. All subjects except Punjabi language are taught in English. The academic curriculum for all grades is based on Common Core standards for English and Math and NGSS standards for science. Miri Piri Academy accepts students from any country of the world, any religious or spiritual background, anyone between 6th and 11th grade that we can serve. We have students from nearly every continent, students who speak English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Mandarin and Malay. (More than 65% of our students do not speak English at home!) Some of our students come from Sikh families, others are not even sure what a Sikh is, but they are interested in learning. Some come for yoga, some for adventure, some for discipline, some for Seva, but all come because they want to be part of a family. Our founder taught us that “If you can’t see God in All, you can’t see God in all.” We are all here learning to see God in each other and to serve humanity through our own personal excellence and strengths."
