(iii) Question number 26 to 30 carry 6 marks each.

(v) Use of logarithmic and trignometric tables is permitted. Use of calculator is not permitted.


Q1) Evaluate without using trignometric table:
cos 35o/sin 55o + sin 11o/cos 79o - cos 28o cosec 62o  (Marks 2)

Q6) Sarla purchased a washing machine for Rs. 13,500 which includes the amount of sales tax. If the sales tax charged is 8% of the list price, find the list price of the washing machine. (Marks 2)

Q10) Find the G.C.D. of 12(9x2 - 4) and 18(6x2 - 5x - 6)  (Marks 2)

Q14) In the figure, determine the length of the altitude AD of an isoceles triangle ABC of side 2a, 2a and a.  (Marks 2)

Q24) If PAB is a secant to a circle intersecting the circle at A and B and PT is a tangent, then PT2 = PA . PB. Prove. (Marks 4)

Q25) If two sides of a cyclic quadrilateral are parallel, prove that (i) the remaining two sides are equal and (ii) both the diagonals are equal.  (Marks 4)

Q26) An aeroplane when 3000 m high passes vertically above another aeroplane at an instance when their angle of elevation at the same observation point are 60o and 45o respectively. How many metres higher is one than the other.  (Marks 6)
